Needle Felted Whale and Rat Sculptures

I finally finished a few needle felted pieces and I have to say, I am happy with them. Well, almost completely happy! :). The rat was my first attempt at needle felting and boy, was it a process to complete! I cut off the ears about twice and remade them and the legs were cut off once for repositioning.  I am still not 100% happy with the outcome of the rat but for my first crack at needle felting, he is not too shabby! The important thing is I learned a lot about sculpting with wool and I have met some wonderful needle felting artists who are very supportive. I know my skills will improve over time with patience and practice.  The rat measures 12.5" L x 3.5" W and the Killer Whale measures 12"L x 6.5" W. Both sculptures are made with wool and have German glass eyes. Enjoy!
